It's Time to Take Back What the Enemy Stole

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you." – Luke 10:19

The Authority You've Been Given

Jesus didn't leave you powerless. He didn't send you into spiritual battle unarmed. Before He ascended, He declared: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me" (Matthew 28:18). And then He turned around and gave that same authority to YOU.

This year, 2026, it's time to enforce His authority.

In the name of Jesus Christ, by the power and authority given to you, crush every stronghold, every strongman over your success, increase, family, health, and destiny.

What Is a Strongman?

The strongman isn't just another demon. He's the chief demon, the controller, the ruling spirit over a group of evil spirits operating in your life. Think of him as the spiritual commander issuing evil orders that keep you bound.

Jesus revealed this spiritual principle in Matthew 12:29:

"How can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house."

Here's the revelation: You cannot recover what the enemy has stolen until you bind the strongman controlling it.

You can cast out demons all day long, but if you forget the strongman, you're fighting a losing battle. The strongman keeps reinforcements coming. He rebuilds what you tear down. He maintains the spiritual legal rights that keep darkness operating in your life.

Strongmen Create Strongholds

A stronghold is a jurisdiction of influence that Satan has established in your life through his strongmen and their demonic kingdom. It's the dominating influence in your situation when the Holy Spirit is not in control.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 tells us: "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God."

Strongholds show up as:

• Generational patterns of addiction, poverty, divorce, or sickness
• Mental fortresses of fear, anxiety, or depression
• Behavioral cycles you can't seem to break
• Spiritual resistance that blocks your prayers and progress

There is a strongman behind every stronghold in your life.

Your Body Is a House

Throughout Scripture, the body is metaphorically described as a house:

Matthew 7:24 – "Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock."

Isaiah 66:1 – "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me?"

Proverbs 24:3-4 – "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."

If your body is a house, then the question is: Who controls your house?

The strongman wants to set up shop in YOUR house. He wants to guard HIS possessions—the areas of your life he's stolen and claimed as his own.

Luke 11:21-22 paints the picture: "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder."

Good news: Jesus is stronger. And He's given YOU the authority to overpower the strongman and take back what's yours.

Signs You're Wrestling with a Strongman

How do you know if a strongman is operating in your life? Here are the warning signs:

✔️ Prayer resistance – Your prayers feel like they hit a brick wall
✔️ Profitless work – You plant much but reap little or nothing
✔️ Little or no progress – Despite hard work, you're stuck in the same place
✔️ Family tension – Every family gathering ends in arguments and conflict
✔️ Repeated cycles – The same problems keep showing up generation after generation
✔️ Blocked destiny – You know God has called you to more, but something keeps holding you back

If this sounds familiar, you're not crazy. You're not cursed. You're under the oppressing force of a strongman who needs to be bound and destroyed.

Where Strongmen Operate

Strongmen don't just operate in individuals—they control entire systems:

1. Families

Strongmen create tension, pressure, arguing, hatred, and division. They're the overruling power enforcing dysfunction over your family bloodline. The enemey’s primary weapon? Division. They target the unity structure because they know a house divided cannot stand (Luke 11:17-18).

2. Businesses and Workplaces

Even Christian businesses can have strongmen assigned to destroy them. If your business is plagued by conflict, financial struggles, or unexplained setbacks—there's a strongman at work.

3. Cities, States, and Nations

Strongmen rule over geographical territories, keeping citizens trapped in spiritual conditions. Nations have ruling spirits responsible for the spiritual atmosphere and background.

How to Bind the Strongman

Matthew 18:18 gives you the authority: "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

Step 1: Identify the Strongman

You can't fight what you can't see. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal:

• What areas of your life are under oppression?
• What patterns keep repeating in your family?
• What doors were opened through sin, trauma, or occult involvement?

Common strongmen include:

• Spirit of Jezebel, Leviathan, Spirit of Poverty, Spirit of Infirmity, Spirit of Fear, Spirit of Rejection, Spirit of Addiction, Spirit of Witchcraft

Step 2: Come Out of Agreement

Stop agreeing with the strongman's lies. Break agreement with every lie contradictory to God’s word regarding your life.

Step 3: Bind the Strongman

"In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind you by fire, strongman [name the area]. I arrest your operations by the authority of the blood of Jesus. I revoke every legal right you claim over my life. You are bound, powerless, and I evict you RIGHT NOW in Jesus' name!"

Step 4: Destroy His Support Network

"I break and dismantle every demonic assignment working with this strongman. I destroy every evil altar, every covenant, every sacrifice, every oath, every curse, every hex. I cancel it ALL in Jesus' mighty name!"

Step 5: Plunder His House

"I reclaim my health, my finances, my family, my peace, my joy, my destiny. Everything the enemy stole, I take it back NOW by the authority in Jesus' name!"

Decree Over Your Life

"I decree that every strongman preventing the perfect will of God from being done in your life shall receive failure and defeat in the matchless name of Jesus Christ!"

"Every evil altar operating against your life—be judged, canceled, and destroyed by FIRE in the name of Jesus Christ!"

It's time to stop tolerating what Jesus already defeated. Bind the strongman. Plunder his house. Take back what's yours.
